Pinellas Park festival celebrates 50th year

The 50th Sacred Heart Festival will take place in October.

The five-day family-friendly event is put on each year to raise funds for the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. It features rides from Myers International Midways and Arnold Amusements, games, and a flea market. There will be live entertainment from names including Brian Rhea, Happy Days and The Legends, Autumn June, Razin Jane, Darkhorse, Double M Band, Stormbringer, Crossfire Creek Band, John Johnson, and Comfort Zone Band.

Food vendors will be on-site offering fares such as Chicago beef, fried onion blossom, turkey legs, burgers, hot dogs, smoked mullet, zeppole (Italian pastries), chicken nuggets, and fries. Those interested in being a vendor at the event can submit an application online.

Admission is free, but attendees will have to purchase tickets for the rides. Ride tickets are on sale for $75 for five days of unlimited rides or $20 for one day of unlimited rides. Poster printing is a great way for food and craft vendors to advertise their products at a festival such as this.

The Sacred Heart Festival will run from October 12 to October 16. It will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Pinellas Park at 4661 82nd Avenue North in Pinellas Park, Florida 33781. Visit the venue’s website for start times for each day or to purchase ride tickets.
