Pinellas Park evening to showcase German wines

Germany is known for producing high-quality wines ranging from sweet dessert styles to other much drier options, and these will be the stars of an upcoming supper event.

The German American Society of Pinellas County, which is located in Pinellas Park, will be keeping the festive summer feeling going by hosting its Winefest for another year. It is for the novice and serious wine fan alike, and both members and non-members are on the guestlist.

Diners will be treated to a selection of wines that will be accompanying their meal of bratwurst, schnitzel, or leberkäse (German meat loaf), and there will be an assortment of sides to choose from, including German potato salad, sauerkraut, and red cabbage. Anyone who enjoys the flavor of authentic German pretzels will have the chance to buy one, and the atmosphere will be fun and festive.

Wine fans may appreciate being given the opportunity to try some new vintages. Organizers of a dinner or other activity where vino will be poured can order tasting glasses and other custom materials from a printing services company.

This celebration of German wines will be adding an extra touch of excitement to the summer on Saturday, August 17. Its Facebook listing provides more information, and tickets for the evening start at $7 for members and $10 for non-members.
