A community’s solid waste management plan can be an important part of its administration. The integrated solid waste management system set up by Pinellas County is opening its doors to the public, and bookings are now open for the September tour.
This Pinellas Park area facility, which will be family friendly, will give the public a chance to find out what happens to their trash once it is picked up or dropped off at the facility. A stop at the Waste to Energy system will be included in the visit, and this is just one of the sites that will be on the tour.
The event will begin with some time in the classroom. Here, the group will watch a brief presentation and take part in a Q and A session. After this, the attendees will climb aboard a vehicle for a driving tour. It will visit the tire processing, scale house, the public hand unloading area, the waste to energy facility and also the yard waste to mulch area.
The activity is intended for anyone who is at least eight years of age. Accessible transportation may be arranged, and those who require this are asked to let the organizers know at least 10 days ahead of time. Activity Books, Brochures, paper yard waste Bags and other Corporate Gifts branded with the host’s Logo Design are just a few of the items that a printer can craft for this sort of function.
This chance for the public to get a sneak peek into what happens to the community’s solid waste once it is picked up at the curb will be offered on September 6th. There is no registration fee for the activity.
