Pinellas Park area attempts to break record

A world record attempt that involves lots of watermelon and a crowd of people who want to help their community will be staged near Pinellas Park, and it promises to be fun for everyone who comes out.

This free event is open to anyone who would like to be a part of the excitement, and the organizers have put out the word that those who do can raise funds for the organization of their choice by asking their friends and family to make a donation in their name.

To help make sure the event goes as smoothly as possible, a call has been put out for both volunteers and sponsors. The planners are offering a variety of sponsorship packages, and the price tag for these start at $100. Each has its own set of benefits, and these can include having the company’s name and logo added to the Promotional Products used to market an event like this to the area.

There is no charge to register, but those who would like to be included in the contest are required to register ahead of time, as this will make planning easier. The public is encouraged to come out and cheer on the melon eaters as they try to break the record.

The Safety Harbor Waterfront Park will be the venue for this occasion, and it will be taking place on July 1. Its website has been updated with the latest details about the event.
