Fishing is a popular activity in the Pinellas Park area, and those who enjoy the pastime are asked to cast their line for a cause.
Owl’s Nest Sanctuary for Wildlife houses some hungry otters, and they will be the beneficiaries of the Otter Be Fishin’ fish and fundraiser. It will take place at Freedom Lake Park, and the catches of the day will be donated to the sanctuary’s charges
When the participants in this family-friendly activity donate their catch, they will be thanked by becoming eligible to win a variety of prizes. There will also be food on offer as well as other fun, and everyone is asked to supply their own bait and gear. Anyone who would like to help out but cannot attend the function in person can still lend a hand by making a donation, and just as with the fish, these will help to care for the animals at the sanctuary.
