The city of Pinellas Park and Forward Pinellas will host their ninth annual Bike Your City event this March.
The ride is a guided cycling tour that promotes road safety and community engagement. This family-friendly ride offers participants an opportunity to explore local neighborhoods while learning about safe cycling practices.
The ride follows a seven-mile route, beginning and ending at Helen S. Howarth Community Park. Participants of all ages are welcome, though children under 16 must wear helmets per Florida law. A limited supply of complimentary helmets and shirts will be given to participants.
Registration will start at 8:30 am followed by an opening ceremony at 9 am. The tour will commence immediately after. Registrations can be completed through the Eventbrite listing.
Guardians or parents must register minors before the event and remain with them throughout. All participants must be capable of completing the ride independently, as no riding lessons will be given.
The route will include various riding conditions, such as streets with parking, neighborhood roads, multi-use paths, and major intersections. Riders should be prepared to navigate alongside pedestrians, fellow cyclists, and vehicles.
Print shops may be used by organizers to provide attendees with a printed map of the route for biking events such as this one.
The Bike Your City Group Ride will take place on Saturday, March 1 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at Helen S. Howarth Community Park, which can be found at 6301 94th Ave in Pinellas Park, Florida.Get a Free Quote for Print
