Naples water park to reopen

The Sun-N Fun Lagoon, the only water park in Collier County, will be opening its gates again this summer for the first time in over a year.

The Naples-based water park closed in 2020 due to health regulations but is now ready to reopen. The park includes five water slides that stand 38 feet, including the fast “Sting Ray” and super-sized “Sea Lion,” which empties out into the 1,250-foot Sunny’s River winding through the park. For younger attendees, the park offers attractions like Family Falls, Turtle Cove, and Tadpole Pool, with each area aimed at a different age group. The company’s marketing also aims for a young audience, with a Logo Design featuring a cartoon alligator

The water park served as a center for COVID-19 testing while it was shut down. It offers reduced rates for Collier County residents who can show a driver’s license with a local address. The park plans to hold a grand reopening to welcome visitors back. As attractions gradually reopen across the country, many have used means like flyer printing and social media to let customers know that they can return. In addition to individuals and families, Sun-N-Fun is also open to private rentals by large groups.

Sun-N-Fun Lagoon is set to officially reopen this July. More details about the grand reopening will be announced in the weeks to come.
