Jazz vocalist to perform with Naples orchestra

Lucy Wijnands will participate in a music series with the Naples Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra at the Daniels Pavilion.

All That Jazz is a season of live performances where people can see the Naples Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra play with talented featured guests. Lucy Wijnands will be the vocalist for the upcoming concert. She is a jazz singer from Kansas City who went to school at the SUNY Purchase’s Conservatory of Music. Wijnands has also performed with the Birdland Big Band and has worked at notable venues such as Manhattan’s Mezzrow.

The show is organized by Artis—Naples, an organization that is home to venues for creative arts and live performances, including The Baker Museum and the Kimberly K. Querrey and Louis A. Simpson Cultural Campus. The president of the group is Kathleen van Bergen. People can check out many exhibitions at the venue’s museum, such as The Passion of Collecting, There & Here, and Magritte: Reflections of Another World.

The live performance with Lucy Wijnands will be held on October 14. There will be two showings for the concert. The first show is at 6:00 pm, and the second show starts at 8:30 pm. Single tickets to the event will start selling on September 15. People can purchase a subscription to the music series for $408 to see all of the shows.
