The Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) presents Care Boldly: Champions for the Health of Women and Newborns for over 50 years.
The Florida Conference Committee started the annual conference to bring awareness to the issues affecting maternal and child health, as well as the technology and tools used in the perinatal medical field. The conference is also a symposium for nursing students to come together and learn from seasoned nurses. There will be mock interviews, résumé revamp sessions, simulations, and a Q&A session.
The AWHONN was formed in 1969 to advocate for the health of newborns and women. The organizations collaborates with state, federal, and local governments to develop standards and guidelines for nurses who take care of newborns and women.
Those interested in attending the conference will need to make reservations and student nurses must register online. Tickets for the entire conference range in price from $100 for a student member to $300 to a non-member guest. Brochure printing is a great way for event organizers to provide information about any upcoming conferences.
The conference will run from Thursday, July 21 to Sunday, July 24 at the Naples Grande Beach Resort at 475 Seagate Drive in Naples, Florida 34103. Contact Shannon Stalbird, AWHONN Secretary/Treasurer, at 813-310-4273 or shannonstalbird@hotmail.com for more information. Visit the website to register for the conference.
