Naples event to highlight local vegetables
The Naples Veg Fest, an event that promotes plant-based and locally-grown food, will be returning this November.
The Veg Fest will feature educational presentations on a number of subjects relevant to vegans, vegetarians, and those simply looking to eat more sustainably. The keynote presenter will be Dr. Will Tuttle, a bestselling author and inspirational speaker, with more presenters to be announced closer to the event. The festival typically involves cooking demonstrations, food competitions, and kid-friendly entertainment, as well as speakers on topics like health, diet, and animal welfare. The event organizers hold similar events in nearby cities like Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and Sarasota, building up to a bigger Southwest Florida Veg Fest in 2022.
Live music will provide an eclectic soundtrack to the Naples Veg Fest. There will also be exhibitors including fresh and prepared food, as well as relevant non-profit organizations such as animal rescue shelters. Markets and festivals present major opportunities for small businesses and organizations, which use business cards and friendly conversation to make connections with customers and potential partners. The Fest aims to be a zero-waste event, and while admission is free, organizers encourage people to register in advance so they can have an accurate idea of attendance.
The Naples Veg Fest is set to take place outdoors at Sugden Regional Park on November 14.
