Naples college hosts retirement planning event

While many dream of their coming retirement years, planning for it can be daunting. Residents in the Naples area can have some of their retirement questions answered when a local university hosts a two-night retirement seminar in early August.

Florida Southwest State College has announced a 2-night educational course to give attendees an overall view of retirement planning, as well as a measure of in-depth training. Retirement Planning University will present information regarding such topics as retirement income, investments, taxes in retirement, and estate planning. There will be time for Q&A sessions as well. Attendees should note that no sales pitches will occur at the meeting, although they may wish to obtain business cards from trainers.

Retirement Planning University's website describes the course as follows:

“Retirement Planning University is strictly an educational course, held over two evenings, that offers the financial clarity you wished you’d been taught in school years ago. Your Retirement Planning University® instructor—an actual financial professional who focuses on retirement planning—will teach you about investments, taxes, Social Security, and much more.”

The Retirement Planning Course will occur over the evenings of August 5-6, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM each night. It will be held in the Copper Room (N-148) of the Allen and Marla Weiss Health Services Hall on the FSW State College campus. The address is 7505 Grand Lely Drive in Naples. The fee for this event is $39 per person, although there is a discount for early registration. Interested parties can find more information on the Eventbrite page for Retirement Planning University.
