Naples charity run to benefit foster children

The Friends of Foster Children Forever Labor Day 5K will return to Naples this September, with proceeds from the run going towards helping foster children.

The event challenges participants to run or walk five kilometers. There will be a mass run in-person as well as a virtual option that lets participants travel the distance at a time and place of their choosing. There will be gift cards for the Naples on the Run store awarded to those with the best times, with divisions based on age categories. Charity runs like this often provide Promotional Products to help commemorate the occasion, and the Friends of Foster Children Run is doing this through custom T-Shirts that will be provided to all participants.

Money raised will go towards the Friends of Foster Children organization, which provides access to early education for young children in the foster system, and free tutoring to older ones. It also provides access to activities such as summer camp, sports programs, and music lessons. In addition to the annual 5K run, the organization runs initiatives such as Back for Collier Kids and Laces of Love to provide basic school equipment to those in need.

The Friends of Foster Children Forever Labor Day 5K will take place on September 6 at Lowdermilk Park. Registration is available up until the day of the event, with discounts available for younger age groups.
