Naples-based conference to go virtual

Imagine Solutions, a southwest Florida conference designed to address contemporary issues, will be adopting a virtual format for its upcoming 2021 conference.

The conference aims to bring together experts from different disciplines to address pressing social and political issues. It will consist of six days, each featuring one session with three speakers, and one “mega-session” with a moderator and a panel of four experts sharing ideas with the audience and each other. One panel, called the “Biomedical Genius Cluster”, will feature Robert Langer, the cofounder of pharmaceutical company Moderna; Penny Heaton, the CEO of the Gates Medical Research Institute; and bioengineers and MIT professors Jim Collins and Sangeeta Bhatia.

Other conference speakers include World Bank president David R. Malpass; entrepreneur Molly Bloom, whose story was featured in the movie Molly’s Game; and Harvard Graduate School of Education Dean Bridget Terry Long. Imagine Solutions typically holds one conference and three seminars on precise topics each year, with the past several gatherings taking place in Naples. Events like this, which bring together major figures from a variety of different fields, can be a hotbed for making unusual connections, with Business Cards and social media contacts frequently changing hands.

Imagine Solutions will hold its annual conference through online video-streaming beginning on February 22, and ending on March 3, with a four-day break in between the third and fourth days of the conference. Video will be available to watch for ticket buyers for two weeks afterwards.
