Craft brewing has become big business, and Naples is celebrating the trend with a festival.
The Naples Craft Beer Festival will be coming to the Bayfront of Naples, giving beer aficionados a chance to sample some brews they might not have have tried before. Craft brewers from the local area, throughout the country, and some from other countries will take part.
In addition to the brewers, a number of local restaurants will be participating in the festival, creating food to pair specifically with one particular brew. The chefs taking part will be competing for the People's Choice Award for the best food-and-beer pairing. A Brewer's Choice award will also be given, with the winner to be determined by the brewers' representatives who will attend the festival.
If food and drink aren't enough, live music is also on the schedule, provided by the Ben Allen Band, a local country-music outfit. Perhaps the best thing about the festival is that it is a fundraiser for the North Naples Rotary Club. All of the profits will go to Rotary, to fund their charitable work.
The Naples Craft Beer Festival at Bayfront is scheduled for 12.00 pm until 4.00 pm on March 7. Tickets are on sale now, and will not be available on the day of the event.
