Walk to help running of new facility

Friendship Circle of Miami will raise funds to support special needs children during its 11th annual community event known as Walking 4 Friendship.

This year’s three-kilometer walk will be held at Milam’s Market as organizers prepare family-friendly activities to entertain a huge crowd, possibly exceeding 2,000 participants. All proceeds raised from Walking 4 Friendship will be shared among the organization’s numerous programs and should keep its new community center running after it opens in November 2020.

People of any background and ability are welcome to join the Friendship Circle in their fundraising event, whether it be going on carnival rides, playing games, or watching shows, patrons will have plenty to do after the three-kilometer walk. Patrons can pick up a free T-shirt from their sponsors after registration. There will be hamburgers and hotdogs served at the community carnival for those who want to grab a bite.

The Friendship Circle is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals with special needs form friendships and receive life skills training by playing music, sports, yoga, and working with horses. For over 15 years, they have been practicing inclusivity through volunteer programs that recognize the challenges faced by special needs children.

The Walking 4 Friendship event will begin on February 23, at 9:00 am. Cheap Promotional Products would be a good way to encourage patrons to support a nonprofit mission or fundraiser just like this one.
