This winter, the skies over Miami Beach will fill with colorful kites of all shapes and sizes as part of the 25th Annual Kite day at Haulover Park.
The event, which will include hundreds of kites, will feature a 30-foot flying scuba man, a 100-foot lying squid, a Nemo clownfish of 30 feet in length, and even a huge flying rainbow. The public will have a chance to attend a kite-making workshop and watch demonstrations by those who are experts in flying these wind-powered aircrafts. Both adult and children’s kite flying contests are also on the agenda for the weekend. They can either use their own or purchase one on site. Banners that have a kite theme can be produced by a printer for this type of event.
Skyward Kites and Miami-Dade Parks have teamed up to organize the event, which is being sponsored by Bal Harbour Rotary Club, T-Mobile, Electric Bikes Miami, and Kids First Urgent Care. In addition to the kites, it will include live music, food, and other activities.
Admission to the festival, which will be held in Haulover Park on February 18 and 19, is free, and parking is available at a price of $7 per vehicle. Shoes and socks are recommended for all those who plan on participating, and more information is available on the Skyward Kite’s website. Get a Free Quote for Banners
