Miami medical professionals looking to increase their knowledge of plastic surgery techniques should note that the Fundamentals in Facial Injection Anatomy Workshop is scheduled for January 2021.
The course will be taught by board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Arthur Swift and Associate Professor of Anatomy Dr. Sebastian Cotofana. As the founder of the educational platform Swift Beauty, Dr. Swift specializes in state-of-the-art beauty procedures backed by evidence-based medicine. Dr. Cotofana teaches at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Rochester, Minnesota and specializes in plastic surgery and dermatology.
The hands-on workshop is designed for medical practitioners of all levels, including physicians, physician assistants, and nurses. The class will be composed of only 40 students and will be spread out over two days. The first day will deal with facial topography, highlighting important landmarks and distinguishing between safe areas and danger zones. During the second day, students will divide into groups of four and dissect cadavers to better learn about the vital structures of the face and practice injection techniques.
The class is scheduled for Thursday, January 14 through Friday, January 15, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
