Miami to show off its social side

Those who just “don’t get” social media, as well as those who are regular users but want to learn more, will soon have the opportunity to learn from the experts.

Coming up soon, the Adrienne Arsht Center for Performing Arts here in Miami will host a Social Media Day to help clarify what for some of us is the indecipherable world of social media.

Since no business can afford to neglect any form of promotion, and social media sites now form a crucial element of any business’ marketing, attendance on the day is expected to top 1,800. Local Twitter and Facebook experts will be on hand, as will locally successful bloggers, PR representatives, and advertising executives keen to share their tips on how to make strides with social media.

This will no doubt be an excellent opportunity for networking in the traditional way too, so participants will want to bring an ample supply of digital Business Cards that include their social media contact information.

Social Media Day is a worldwide celebration held in numerous countries around the globe as the phenomena of social media continues to grow in size and influence. The Miami Social Media Day takes place from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm on Sunday, June 29. To register, visit the event’s website. The cost is $25.
