Miami sound workshop to teach healing techniques
Namo Sanctuary will host the three-day Sound Healing Training in Miami next weekend for anyone interested in learning to utilize sound in their own healing journeys, or to guide others.
Namo Sanctuary was founded by Noelia Madiedo, a former teacher and therapist for children with autism and developmental disabilities. Having had an enlightening encounter with gongs in the Himalayas and Singapore, she brought this experience back with her to teach gong sound healing in her own practice. Now, she teaches what she terms “sound blending” by utilizing the modern way of the gong.
The sound workshop will be guided by Michelle Berlin, a yoga instructor certified through the certification through the Iyengar Yoga School. The workshop will be an introduction to sound healing and how one can incorporate it into their healing journey. Attendees will learn about the basic principles of sound healing and its diverse healing applications, as well as an exploration of modern techniques.
Meditative classes like this may encourage attendees to bring along with them journals and other stationery by which to record their reflections on the class. As such, stationery printers can be useful to attendees who may need to buy these supplies.
The Sound Healing Training is scheduled for Thursday, September 5 to Saturday, September 7. Namo Sanctuary can be found at 250 NW 24th Street. The class fee is $555.
