The cinema’s website said:
“AMC does not permit weapons or items that would make other guests feel uncomfortable or detract from the movie-going experience.
“Guests are welcome to come dressed in costume, but we do not permit masks or face paint.”
While this may come as a blow, moviegoers who just want to see the film in peace and quiet are relieved to see someone taking a stand. Sasha Peirce, who planned to attend with her children, said:
“I didn’t come here for Rocky Horror, we want to see the film.”
Even so, toy stores across Miami reported selling out of Star Wars masks, Lightsaber toys, and other knickknacks during the weeks leading up to the premiers. Local Print companies, as well, are likely to have seen a surge in Star Wars-related banner printing and sign printing, which seems to imply that fans are not slowing down due to the restrictions one theatre is placing on them.
While some will want to avoid AMC to party it up at another theatre, others may prefer the chance to see the show without all the ruckus. Get a Free Quote for Print
