Miami brewery run to benefit local charities

The Florida Brewery Running Series will host the Run for Beer 5K next month in Miami to raise money for local charities and provide an active, fun outing for locals.

The Florida Brewery Running Series, which was originally the Brewery Running Series founded in Minnesota, has since raised over $100,000 for local non-profits over the last decade. The Miami Run for Beer event will donate 10% of all proceeds raised during the event to good causes in the Miami area.

The run will be a casual, untimed event that will begin and finish at Lincoln's Beard Brewing Co. Participants can run, jog, or walk at their own pace, and being an open course, everyone must also follow all traffic and pedestrian laws. There will be volunteers stationed along the route to ensure people go the right direction, and to cheer on participants.

Those who register will receive a free craft beer if 21 and older, or a free non-alcoholic beverage if under 21. Participants will also receive a collector’s pint glass and a swag bag of seasonal goodies from the Brewery Running Series, as well as Promotional Products from event sponsors.

The Run for Beer 5K is scheduled for April 2 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Lincoln's Beard Brewing Co. is located on 7360 Southwest 41st Street. Regular registration is $32.
