Signature food and music of New Orleans will be the stars of the show at an event scheduled for Florida.
The 6th Annual Cajun Crawfish & Music Festival is returning to Abacoa, giving Jupiter residents a chance to enjoy the tastes, sounds, traditions, dance, and culture of the Big Easy.
Virginia Sinicki, who is the DJ of the KVJ Morning Show on radio station WRMF, will be the emcee of the event. Sinicki will share her memories of New Orleans, her birthplace.
Authentic dishes on the menu include crawfish etouffee, muffulettas, po-boys, gumbo, jambalaya, Louisiana John’s crawfish boil, and the traditional dessert pastry, beignets.
Specialty drinks for which New Orleans is famous, such as Grenades, Hurricanes, and Virginia’s Champagne Hurricane, will also be available.
Local celebrities and chefs will be on hand to hold cooking demonstrations where they will create their favorite food and drink items.
Admission to the event is $5.00, and children 12 and younger will be admitted free. Those who would prefer a more private experience may purchase a Private VIP Chalet Tent for $400 per day, or a Reserved Stage Pod for $100 per day.
The festival will take place on Saturday, 13 from 10.00am until 10.00pm, and Sunday, 14 April from 10.00am until 8.00pm, at the Abacoa Amphitheatre on Main Street.
Organizers planning events like this often work with printers who use poster printing to create colorful advertisements for the occasion.
