Chris Janson is a singer/songwriter from Perryville, Missouri, who relocated to Nashville after high school. He began recording in 2009, and has released music on Warner Records Nashville, Columbia Records, and Bigger Picture Music Group. Multiple singles of his have charted on both the Country Airplay and Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including “Done” and “Good Vibes,” both of which climbed to No. 1 on Country Airplay. He has also performed with Lee Brice and Holly Williams on their albums, and co-written singles for Hank Williams, Jr., Randy Houser, LoCash, and Tim McGraw.
He has released four studio albums thus far: “Buy Me a Boat,” which he dropped in 2015; “Everybody,” which came out in 2017; 2019’s “Real Friends,” and 2022’s “All In”. Janson’s style has been described as a blend of old and new country, which has led critics to call him the:
“future of country music.”
His albums have been well received, although his singles have had even greater success. The single version of “Buy Me a Boat” was certified 3X Platinum in the U.S and Gold in Canada.
