Hang 20, the fifth annual Surf Dog Classic and Holiday Beach Bash, will be held early in December.
The dog surfing event will include large, medium, and small dog surfing heats, along with stand-up paddleboard, and special heats for personal or service dogs and their military veterans and first responders.
The day will begin with registration and opening of the Vendor Village at 7:45 am and the Animals Blessing at 8:15 am. Dog surfing heats will begin at 8:30 am and end around 11:00 am. The Surf Awards ceremony and adoptable pet introductions will follow from 11:00 am to 11:30 am. A Bark and Brunch will be from 9:00 am until noon.
The Jupiter Police Department will give a K9 demonstration at 11:30 am and Surfin’ Santa will be on hand for holiday photos from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. From 11:00 am until 2:00 pm, there will be Puppies (kitties) and Pizza.
The event will hold Doggie Bikini, pet and owner look-a-like, and Pets Got Talent contests beginning at noon. However, the Dog Wash, Kid Zone, beach activities, and Vendor Village will last all day.
Vendors in the Vendor Village will hawk pet-themed wares. Guests at events such as this often ask vendors for their Business Cards. Proceeds will go to Furry Friends Adoption.
Now in its fifth year, the event will be Sunday, December 1 from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Carlin Park Civic Center and Beach, 400 Florida A1A.
