An event is coming up to raise both awareness and funds that will help rescue and shelter dogs.

Mimosas for Mutts will give dog lovers a chance to help their favorite fur people. The event will be held at the Crosby Kitchen on Cypress Drive, where attendees will be able to sip mimosas and maybe take home a new family member from the Palm Beach County ACC, or Mutty Paws Rescue. Events like this, where people share a common interest, are perhaps unexpected occasions for meeting new connections and even exchanging Business Cards.

Stacey Paladino, who owns Life with Reef Dog Walking & Pet Care, is organizing the event. Reef, a rescue dog, was the inspiration for Paladino’s company, and her sole mission is spreading the word about animal abuse, raising funds to help dogs in shelters, and educating potential pet parents about various dog breeds. The organization supports and advocates adopting from shelters.

The money raised by events like this goes to various rescues, shelters, and organizations throughout the area. Funds are used to buy toys, food, supplies, freedom rides, and beds, as well as developing educational materials, funding adoptions, and paying medical bills.

Mimosas for Mutts is scheduled for September 17, from 11.00 am until 4.00 pm. Food and drink, raffles, vendors, and a car show courtesy of the Cadillac Kings are all scheduled. Modern Maven will be on hand for a mini-photo shoot as well, and of course, the stars of the show will be the adoptable pooches.
