Country group coming to Jupiter

A group comprising family members and a close friend is coming to Jupiter.

Parmalee is a country band comprising brothers Matt and Scott Thomas, their cousin Barry Knox, and a close friend in Josh McSwain. Before they were active in their current group, Scott and Matt were performing in a band called Jerry Thomas and the Thomas Brothers Band, along with their father. When he retired, they decided to keep going, and created Parmalee.

Their first EP, “Daylight,” caught the ear of RCA producer David Bendeth, who invited them to record in Hoboken, New Jersey, at the Water Music Studios. They recorded three songs, and Windswept Publishing of Los Angeles gave them a publishing deal. Then Bendeth asked them to record another 12 songs to create their first full-length album, their debut “Inside.” They released “Inside” in 2002, and spent almost two years touring to support the release.

Since that beginning, they have released seven studio albums. The latest, “For You,” came out in 2021, and their best-selling effort, “Feels Like Carolina,” dropped in 2013 and went to No. 10 on the U.S. Country chart. They fared better with singles and have three that have been certified Platinum. A review says the band has:
“ . . . down-home charm . . . and some legit musical chops . . .”

Parmalee will be at the Abacoa Town Center Amphitheatre on November 10. To advertise events like this, organizers can use poster printing.
