The Lacs are Brian King and Clay Sharpe, who hail from Baxley, Georgia, which remains their home base. Though generally considered country rap artists, their sound and style is a mix of blues, rap, Southern rock, and country.
They began their career almost 20 years ago in Baxley, and then took to the road. Their extensive travels gave them a chance to observe the country closely and they learned where it has been, where it could be going, and what parts of the nation’s identity have not seen any changes at all.
The Lacs used their observations on their sixth album, “American Rebelution,” creating the sound they have labeled “dirt rock.” As they continued touring, they began playing larger and larger venues, and noticed their audiences were becoming more diverse.
A review says:
“They may have performed for the audience, but they never fell into the mode of performing at the audience, there was a noticeable sense of “it’s a big party and we’re in it together” that felt like a very mutual understanding for the evening.”
Demun Jones and Dusty Leigh are also scheduled to appear. Poster printing can be used to create colorful, attractive advertising for events like this.
The Lacs will appear at the Abacoa Town Center Amphitheater on December 2 at 8:00 pm.
