Trevor Hall is coming to Florida, along with the California Honeydrops. Trevor Hall’s music is a mix of reggae, folk, and roots, while the Honeydrops are more on the soul and R&B side.
Hall is a native of Connecticut raised in South Carolina. His father was a musician, and Hall recorded his first album when he was 16, then moved to California to study classical guitar at the Idyllwild Arts Academy. At this time, he became interested in spirituality, and eventually converted to Hinduism, which has impacted both his life and his music. He released his latest album, “In and Through the Body,” in 2020. A review says of Hall’s performance:
“I experienced one of my top shows of the year . . .”
The California Honeydrops got started in Oakland in 2007, and are characterized by their New Orleans style and vocal harmonies. They use some unusual instruments include a washboard jug, and gutbucket bass. They have enjoyed success touring both the U.S. and Europe, and opened for Bonnie Raitt in 2016. A review of this band notes:
“All musicians could take a lesson from frontman and vocalist Lech Wierzynski and his band of loose and loving eccentrics . . .”
Trevor Hall, along with the California Honeydrops, will appear at the Abacoa Amphitheatre in Jupiter on July 16. Posters developed by concert organizers using poster printing can be used to advertise events like this.
