Tampa General Hospital Loggerhead Triathlon will be heading for Jupiter in a couple of weeks. Since 1985, triathletes have been flocking to this one of the state’s longest enduring triathlons. Around 1000 runners, volunteers and spectators are expected to attend.
The course will include an ocean swim covering 3/8 of a mile, biking for 13 miles and a 3.1 (5k) mile run - an out-and-back from Carlin Park to Jupiter Inlet. The three overall winners will be presented with awards.
Individual registration is $119; Triathlon relay team will be $159 and entry in the Duathlon (offered for the first time) will be $119. Participants will receive Bags filled with sponsor coupons and other printed collateral and event T-Shirts sporting the event graphic design on the front and each upper level sponsor Logo Design on the back.
Five sponsor levels are the $150 Athlete Packet, the $1500 Official, $2000 Title, $2,500 Swim Cap, $4500 Tattoo and the $20,000 Presenting.
On race day, a Health and Wellness expo composed of fitness and sport businesses, athletic clubs and non-profits will have tables set up in the Athlete Oasis. Each will be loaded with Promotional Products, Business Cards and information about goods and services.
The Loggerhead Triathlon will take place August 28th from 7:00 am until noon at Carlin Park, 400 S. S.R. A1A.
