Annual festival helps to make the season bright

The 8th annual Festival of Trees is taking place for 10 days this December.

The theme of this year's festival is ‘Honoring our 50 States’, and there will be 25 trees on display. Proceeds from the event will help to support the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens Conservancy.

The event will start off with the Gala Evening in the Gardens. Guests will enjoy tapas and hors d'oeuvres, accompanied by wine and spirits. They will also be entertained by a light and music show while they enjoy the display of trees.

Over the eight days that follow the gala, the Festival of Trees will be open to the community at large each evening from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm.

The festival will end with the 2nd annual Children's Gala. Guests will enjoy children's performances and child-friendly beverages; all young guests must be accompanied by an adult.

It is likely that people from all over the area will want to attend this annual event, including those from nearby Jupiter. Local postcard printing companies may have been among those asked to help advertise this fundraiser.

The Festival of Trees will take place at the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens from December 5 to 14, with the gala getting matters underway on December 5 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm; tickets are $250 each. Community Days happen from December 6 to 13, and admission is $20, $15 for members and seniors, or $7 for children. The Children's Gala is taking place on December 14 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm and tickets are $40 each. Call 561-832-5328 for more information.
