An entertainment company will bring one of its shows to Colorado Springs in early September for multiple dates.
Cirque du Soleil features artists and performers in a variety of disciplines such as acrobatics, aerial silks, and hand balancing, creating a take on a circus-style experience. Several shows with their own themes will often be running at once, allowing those who may have seen one before to discover a new story.
The upcoming one, OVO, is a show based around insects and their life cycles and ecosystem. When a strange egg shows up, curiosity strikes the creatures. The event is family friendly, although there will be some points where darkness and loud noises are used, which may be scary for some younger viewers. Flashing lights are also part of the show.
Tickets range in price from $67 to $137 across the shows when purchased from Ticketmaster. Several bundle options are also available through the Cirque du Soleil site. Merchandise with a graphic design themed around OVO will be sold at each event.
On September 1 and 2, one show will take place at 7:30pm. On the following two days, there will be two showings each. September 3 will have one at 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm, with the shows on September 4 being at 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. The venue is the Broadmoor World Arena.
