Switchbacks reveal official logo

The Colorado Springs Switchbacks have revealed their official new crest after eight designs were filtered through over the last two months.

The logo, which takes its foundation from the 'S' shape, sees a number of factors related to the city integrated into the image.

With the symbol set to be a main component of the Switchbacks' Stationery printing now it has been agreed, it received its official launch to 250 fans at the Ivywild School.

Talking about what had gone into its creation, the president of the Switchbacks, Nick Ragain, said:

"The logo process took about eight weeks.

"There were a number of back-and-forth conversations about who we are, what Colorado Springs is, how we tie together and how we fit together. Really, this is a culmination of all those things.

"We worked real hard to get people here for the logo reveal because it's exciting."

Those attending the event were also able to buy newly branded merchandise, which had clearly had Colorado Springs’ printing companies working round the clock after sign-off on the design. As well as T-Shirts being available, newly branded bandanas and scarves were up for grabs.

Though the USL Pro League does not start until March next year, the Switchbacks decided to get the new logo and kit out there now, in order to generate interest for the forthcoming season.
