Music festival in Colorado Springs

An upcoming festival in Colorado Springs promises two days featuring local electronic dance music (EDM), hip-hop, and rock artists.

The Summer Showdown Festival brings together local artists as well as some from out of state to spice up the summer. Rock and hip hop are extremely popular genres, though EDM (electronic dance music) did not break through into the mainstream, especially in the United States, until about the 2010s.

DJ Snipez from Beatsniperz Productions is the headliner for the first day, and He Kill 3 is the headliner for the second day. Other artists scheduled to appear include two acts from El Paso, Texas – Sun of Jack and If X Was Z – along with Facing Forward, Swagyu, Psycho Love, Bushcocks, Scellon, and Luckylou.

If the line-up of musicians were not enough, there will also be vendors and food trucks on hand to keep everyone well fed.

The festival will be held over the August 28 and August 29 weekend. On the Saturday, the day starts at 12:00 pm, opens with rock and closes with hip-hop, and on the second day, hip-hop starts the day with rock closing the proceedings. The venue is The Cauldron: Outdoor Art Gallery and Events on Terminal Avenue. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts, listing the artists performing at events like this, and their stage times.
