One of the most long-lasting, and influential, bands in America is coming to Colorado Springs.
The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is a country-rock outfit that first got started in 1966 in California. The membership of the band has changed numerous times over its long existence, but two members have been with it since the beginning--Jeff Hanna and Jamie Fadden.
Hanna and Fadden, and long-time member Bob Carpenter, who joined the group in 1979, will be on hand for the Colorado Springs performance. Joining the band for this event are guests Ross Holmes, Jim Photoglo, and Jaime Hanna.
The band's first album, self-titled, was released in 1967 and a track from the album, “Buy for Me the Rain,” made it into the Top 40. With that success, the band went on to appear on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson,” and also appeared in concert with artists as different as The Doors and Jack Benny.
Their 1972 album “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” was inducted into the U.S. Library of Congress.
Throughout their long career, the country-rock band has won three Grammys and an CMA award, as well as numerous nominations. Brochure printing can provide informative programs for events like this.
