Colorado Springs celebrates season with wreaths

People who enjoy crafts have an event for them on the schedule in Colorado Springs.

Phelan Gardens is hosting a private party for people who would like to make their own wreaths. These will be made of Colorado boughs, decorated with pine cones and bows of holiday fabric. Each group or person will have a dedicated member of Phelan's staff to assist in the construction, and walk participants through the process. Since the greenhouse benches that are going to be used to for the class are 25 feet long, there will be suitable room for social distancing.

In addition to making a wreath, participants will also enjoy one additional craft project. They will also be able to shop in the store after hours, and will be afforded access to the Gardens' succulent potting station, which is self-serve.

In addition to all this, participants will receive a coupon for 20% off their purchases, which can be used for up to a week after the event. Wooglins will be providing snacks in single packs, and Phelan's will provide one non-alcoholic beverage. People attending the party are welcome to bring beverages of their own.

The upcoming event is set for next Friday, December 11, beginning at 5:30 pm. There is still room to sign up for the evening. Organizers of this type of event can work with Print shops to create instruction sheets for participants.
