Art class to feature seasonal theme

A lesson in Colorado Springs in early October is sure to bring the fall season to life.

Pumpkin Hallow & Glow Paint is a class where kids and adults alike can create a unique piece of artwork. The sample picture depicts a swirly night-time backdrop with some leaves, a moon, and a pumpkin. A novel touch for this particular piece is that elements of the finished painting will glow under a blacklight.

The activity is recommended for those aged six or older, but parents of slightly younger children are able to sign them up if they believe the child will handle it well. Guardians of children under the age of 13 are required to stay with their kid. To do so, both the adult and child must have a paid ticket. If one person in a pairing or group does not wish to participate at the time of the event, venue staff will make a kit for them to take home, as long as they are notified prior to the date.

Those who will be drinking alcohol will need to have their ID. Non-alcoholic drinks are also available. Due to state laws, bringing in outside drinks is not permitted, so the studio has its own, although attendees are asked to provide their own ice if they want any.

Canvases are available in two sizes for this class. These are 11”x14” and 16”x20”. The prices are $25 and $29 respectively. Flyer printing is often used to promote activities like this one. The lesson will run from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on October 1, at the Colorado Springs location of Painting with a Twist located on Garden of the Gods Rd.
