West California Home Builders and Newman Garrison + Partners recently announced plans to develop a mixed-use project in Woodland Hills.
The property is at the intersection of DeSoto and Erwin, and is close to the 101 freeway, the Topanga Village Mall, and is about 30 minutes from the Los Angeles downtown area. The new project will offer 352 housing units as well as a hotel and other spaces.
The project is described as a “transit-oriented development,” which means that there is housing, retailing, office space, and other amenities in one area where everything is within walking distance, and the neighborhood is near public transportation; usually a half-mile or less. This project will be sited next to the bus stops for DeSoto/Erwin.
Housing in the new development will be a mix of studios and other units with one, two, or three bedrooms available. Among the common areas are a sky terrace lounge, a club lounge comprising 12,400 square feet, a fitness center/movie space indoors spanning 11,000 square feet, and a public outdoor space measuring 22,000 square feet.
Nonresidential spaces in the project where restaurants, retailers, a spa, and offices will be located comprise 69,000 square feet. Construction on the development is expected to begin sometime in 2019, with a completion date of 2022.
Projects like this can benefit when developers work with a brochure printing company to create Booklets that show the amenities offered in such areas.
