Mustang revs in for Sunday car show

The star of a January 17 Supercar Sunday was a 2002 Ford Mustang that had a 1,000 horsepower engine and a parachute on the back. Its owner cruised around the lot, enjoying the admiration of visitors.

From 7:00 am to 10:00 am every Sunday, auto enthusiasts gather in Woodland Hills, at the parking lot of the Westfield Promenade Mall, to take part in what has become a weekly auto show. All makes and models of cars can be found at the show, as can collectors, fabricators, race drivers, and celebrities.

The vehicles on display change from week to week, so the event is always new and different. Admission is free, and fans can get close to hot rods and luxury sports cars of all kinds, as well as muscle cars.

The show was set up by Dustin Troyan, who founded the Connected Media Group, which provides marketing and public relations for the automotive marketplace. Troyan explained that the variety of cars that visits Supercar Sunday is amazing, and includes everything from imports, to sleek factory models, to vehicles people have built from the ground up, and everything in between. He says the popularity of the show attests to the love people have for their cars, and to the bond among those in the automotive community.

Event organizers could create colorful Banners to hang at the venue to make the event even more fun.
