Developers are working now on two mixed-use developments at Warner Center in Woodland Hills. The goal of the projects is to transform the center into an urban hub for young professionals who want to work, live, and play in the San Fernando Valley.
Shawn Evenhaim, the CEO and founder of California Home Builders, says these buildings will have an urban vibe, but offer a lot of walkability as well. The buildings are each seven stories high, are less than a mile apart, and are named Q East and Q West. Q East will be on Variel Avenue and Q West on Topanga Canyon Boulevard.
The buildings will add retail spaces, offices, and apartments to the neighborhood, which will create a densely populated area that blends residences and workplaces, as more people crave a lifestyle that allows them to walk to work and remain close to home while they run errands, often on foot.
As designed, Q East will offer 241 housing units, as well as 50,000 square feet for commercial uses. Q West offers more than 18,000 square feet of space for commerce, and 347 housing units. The buildings will include units ranging from studios to two-bedroom apartments, and will have amenities such as pools, rooftop decks, and outdoor lounges. Construction is expected to be finished by 2020.
Developers can enhance projects like this by working with brochure printers to create Booklets for prospective tenants, describing the buildings' amenities.
