What's Happening in Simi Valley, CA…

Simi Valley rides for a cause

There will be a charity event taking place in Simi Valley next weekend.

Sergeant Ron Helus Ride for the Blue will be the 8th annual event of its kind. It sees riders from Southern California come together in celebration of the individuals who serve and protect and who are first responders of Ventura County. Attendees will receive a T-shirt in commemoration of the event. There will also be lunch provided courtesy of the Oxnard Police Department.

All money earned from the event will be given to the Oxnard Police Community Foundation. This will be used to aid the first responders by helping with mental and physical training.

The cost to attend the event is $40 plus a processing fee, and registration can be completed at the Ride for the Blue website. All participants, both riders and passengers, must register for the event and pay the fee in order to participate.

Poster printing is a great way for organizers to provide information about the ride to attendees of events such as this one.

The event will be next Saturday, May 6. Check-in time will be between 6:30 am and 7:15 am, announcements will be between 7:15 am and 7:45 am. The full schedule is available at the aforementioned website. The starting location will be at 2929 Tapo Canyon Rd, Simi Valley.
