Belanova is celebrating their 24th anniversary with the current tour, which they are calling “Vida En Rosa.” The band burst onto the scene in Mexico early in the 2000s, where they won a huge following thanks to Denisse Guerrero’s beautiful vocals, the synth-pop sound of keyboard wizard Edgar Huerta, and the work of Ricardo “Richie” Arreola on guitar and bass. The band blends genres that shouldn’t work, including anime and electropop, as well as influences from nightclubs, into a style that has resulted in hits like “Por Ti” and “Rosa Pastel,” which topped the charts.
Belanova has been nominated for multiple Latin Grammys and has grown a sizeable and dedicated fan base. They have gone on to become one of the most success pop groups in Mexico, leaving their mark on Latin music. They have also been successful internationally, especially in Europe and the United States, where they have brought Latin music to more audiences. A review says:
“I would recommend their show 100% . . . Anyway, I wish I could travel and follow them around.”
Belanova will be at the San Jose Civic on April 24 at 8.00 pm. Organizers of events such as this will frequently use poster printing to create advertising for them.
