Air Supply has now been in the music business for 50 years, and are celebrating this impressive milestone. The group formed in 1975 in Melbourne, Australia, with vocalist Russell Hitchcock and guitarist/vocalist Graham Russell as the founding members. The two met when they were working on a production of “Jesus Christ Superstar.” Vocalist Chrissie Hammond, who was also in the show, was part of Air Supply for a time, but left to form her own group, Cheetah. The lineup has changed over the years, but Hitchcock and Russell have been the core of the band since the beginning.
A highly successful commercial act, Air Supply can boast about 100 million records sold. They have charted globally, putting eight songs into the Top Five spots on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Among their biggest hits are “All Out of Love” (1980) and “Lost in Love” (1979). A concert review says:
“Hearing and seeing legendary singers who have remained active for almost 50 years is an experience that would remain in the minds and hearts of fans. We definitely will never get enough of Air Supply!”
Air Supply will be at the San Jose Civic on February 14 at 8.00 pm. Advertising for events like this traditionally takes the form of Posters, which concert organizers can obtain at Print shops.Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Posters
