In Torrance near the Redondo Beach area, the IEEE Region 6 Southern Area will host the CLASTECH Symposium and Exhibition, a conference dedicated to antenna and microwaves discussion, plus other related topics.
According to their website, The IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) is the largest professional technical organization with the aim of advancing technology to benefit humanity. It is led by appointed and elected volunteers who support the organization’s cause, and there are 10 geographical regions of the organization, with Region 6 containing California.
The conference will explore relevant topics relating to microwaves and antennas. There will be four expert speakers to lead these discussions, which include Anthony Grbic from University of Michigan, Adrian Tang from JPL, Thomas Cwik who is JPL chief technologist, and Joe Bardin from the University of Amherst. There will be tabletop exhibits for attendees to observe and ask questions about, and a boxed lunch courtesy of Panera Bread will also be provided.
