In celebration of the Super Bowl next month, Redondo Beach will host the 45th Annual Redondo Beach Super Bowl 10k Run & 5k Run/Walk, which is billed as one of the longest-running and largest races in Southern California.
The event will kick off with the Health and Wellness Expo the day before the run. Race day will feature the Kids Fun Run, the 10k Baby Buggy Run, the 5K Run/Walk, and a regular 10K run. Participants are also welcome to run in costumes following the theme of the Super Bowl or pop culture icons. There will be a costume contest as well.
Runners and walkers will head along the picturesque view of the Redondo Beach harbor, through Esplanade, and along the waterfront. The course comes to an end when it reaches the Seaside Lagoon.
Finishers in the top three categories will receive custom awards, and all race finishers will get a finisher’s medal, as well as a race T-shirt with the event’s Logo Design. After the run is complete, all participants aged 21 and up are welcome to enjoy a drink at the beer garden and to listen to live music at Michelob Ultra Seaside Lagoon.
The run is scheduled for February 12 from 6:00 am to 11:00 am. The start/finish line and expo will be located at 200 Portofino Way.
