Christmas may be over, but the Rotary Club of San Pedro is in the planning stages of another celebratory event that tends to sell out each year.
The Great San Pedro Crab Feed will serve up a seafood feast, complete with all the trimmings, and while the diners enjoy their meal, they can feel good knowing they are helping to support a variety of community service projects.
This Redondo Beach area activity will be celebrating five years of offering the public a seafood meal. The catering will be provided courtesy of the Beacon House culinary arts program, and crab will be just one of the items on the menu.
Each ticket holder will be served large portions of Dungeness crab. Those who prefer turf over surf can opt for a chicken entree instead, and there will be generous servings of pasta, salad, and French crusty bread.
After the main course, the guests will be invited to bid on the offerings in the dessert auction, and each ticket holder will also receive one glass of wine or beer, as well as soft drinks. Both live and silent auctions have been planned, and all of this is available for a ticket price of $70.
The proceeds from this seafood feast will be used to fund scholarship programs and other community projects. The host of an event like this can distribute Booklets to the guests that outline how their contribution will be utilized, and these can be sourced from local Stationery printers.
This year’s Great San Pedro Crab Feed will be held on February 2. It will be offered at 1648 West 9th Street in San Pedro.
