Denise Nicole White is known professionally as Avery Sunshine, and is a pianist/singer/songwriter. A native of Chester, Pennsylvania, Sunshine has roots in church music, which she mixes with R&B, jazz, soul, and gospel to create a vibrant and uplifting sound. Her stage banter, which is often humorous, along with her optimistic songs about life and love bring her audiences together.
The artist has released 19 EPs and singles, beginning in 2010 with the “Avery*Sunshine EP.” The most recent short works are four singles she has dropped in 2024: “Lifted Up,” “I Wonder,” “Fire,” and “My Way.” She also has released four full-length albums to date, including “Avery*sunshine Album” in 2010, “The SunRoom” in 2014, “Twenty Sixty Four” in 2017, and 2022’s “Four Songs & a Bootleg.” “Lucky,” the lead single from the album, made it to the Billboard Top 30 Adult R&B National Airplay chart.
