Tribute to music legend in Newport Beach

A music legend will be honored in Newport Beach during an act from a tribute band.

The band in question is Turn The Page, and they perform in honor of Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, the roots rock master and his outfit.

Roots rock is old-fashioned rock and roll, drawing on the traditional rock sources of country, blues, and folk, and moving away from the progressive and psychedelic rock that began gaining prominence in the 1960s and 1970s.

Turn The Page is named for one of Seger’s biggest hits, and is one of the “classic” Seger songs, along with tunes like “Against the Wind,” “Night Moves,” and “Ramblin’, Gamblin’ Man.” The tribute band is based in Southern California, and has had their tribute CDs downloaded on iTunes over 750,000 times.
CNBC News has referred to them as:
“ . . . one of the Nation’s Top Tribute Bands. “

Seger’s voice has been described as both “powerful” and “raspy,” giving him a unique vocal quality that is almost impossible to capture. However, according to fans of the tribute act, Turn The Page has successfully managed to do just that.

Turn The Page has been entertaining its following for fourteen years, and has had more than 23,000,000 streams downloaded across varying platforms. They will now appear at Campus Jax in Newport Beach on February 17. Organizers of concerts like this often promote these events using poster printing.
