Newport Beach shows love of wine

The annual Newport Beach Wine Festival at Balboa Bay Resort will return this May.

The weekend will begin on May 24th with the Justin Winery Limited Release Wine Dinner, highlighting new Chardonnay and Pinot Noir selections. This day will also feature Executive Chef Prabeen and his team preparing a four-course meal, with wine pairings led by Master Sommelier Joseph Spellman. The evening will start with a reception at 6 pm, followed by dinner at 6:30 pm. Tickets are priced at $215 per individual.

The Wine and Spirits Festival Grand Tasting will occur on May 25th. It will include an extensive selection of spirits and wines complemented by live music, light fare, and waterfront entertainment. Participating brands include Daou, Casamigos, Macallan, and Ketel One. Proceeds will aid the Balboa Bay Club Scholarship Fund. Pre-sale tickets cost $150 per individual, with same-day admission priced at $165. The event will run from 1 pm to 5 pm.

The festival will conclude on May 26th with the Veuve Clicquot Champagne Brunch. This will offer a seafood selection, carving stations, and classic brunch dishes. Guests will receive two servings of Veuve Clicquot with their meal. The brunch takes place from 10 am to 2 pm, with tickets available for $125 per individual.
