The Duke Hotel Newport Beach, formerly known as the Fairmont Newport Beach, is currently under new management.
Crescent Hotels and Resorts will now be managing the upscale, lifestyle hotel and will spend millions of dollars in a project to renovate the hotel, and convert and rename it as the Renaissance Newport Beach. The project is expected to be completed in early 2018.
As of next month, the Duke Hotel Newport Beach will become a ‘White Label’ hotel affiliated with the Marriott brand and accept reservations as a Marriott hotel. It will become part of Latitudes, Lifestyles by Crescent, which is the Lifestyle division of Crescent Hotels.
There are 444 guestrooms in the hotel, 54 of which are suites. Additional amenities include tennis and bocce courts, an 8,000-square-foot spa, restaurant and bar, and rooftop pool with cabanas. There is also a gazebo for weddings, 27,000 square feet of outdoor function space, and an additional 15,000 square feet of meeting space.
CEO of Crescent Hotels and Resorts, Michael George, commented that the hotel aligns well with the company brand given its extensive experience in repositioning complex and unique lifestyle hotels.
Professionally printed Brochures for the hotel may help to highlight George’s new approach to running and promoting it, and draw attention to the benefits guests may enjoy from the new management.
