The Orange County Fair recently opened in Newport Beach, running for a total of 23 days.
The focus of this year’s fair is to celebrate the agricultural heritage of the county. Among the returning favorite activities of the fair are a junior livestock auction and the 10th anniversary of the Fair Fun Run 5K. Also returning are the Brew Hee Haw craft beer festival, the All-Alaskan Racing Pigs, the Russell Brothers Circus, and Mark Yuzuik – a comedy hypnotist.
There are also many new activities in store for attendees. Food at the fair runs the gamut from fried filet mignon on a stick, to spaghetti donuts, to ramen burritos, while a more sophisticated offering is a culinary crawl which guides fairgoers through a mini version of the curated culinary offerings in the county.
The singing Peterson Farm Brothers, who are farmers from Kansas, will provide a unique view of real life on a farm as a singalong. The Action Sports Arena will host ‘Daredevils and Wheels’, a spectacular featuring a motorcycle high wire and the Vortex of Doom aerial platform raceway. The fair also includes the Toyota Summer Concert Series at Pacific Amphitheatre.
The Orange County Fair runs through August 12. Various kinds of promotional materials can be used to promote such annual events and their special deals throughout the county.
